Through Our Eyes: First Easter and Getaway

This Easter we celebrated a week early at home because we decided to plan a weekend trip to Asheville, North Carolina. So the Sunday before Easter, we gave Elle her Easter basket. She got bath toys and a rubber duck, all of which she loves to play with in the bathtub. She also got a beach hat for the summer. She enjoyed exploring her new toys!

On Good Friday, we packed up and headed to the mountains. We decided to take a weekend trip to Asheville to go hiking and to visit the Biltmore House. On Friday, we went to the NC Arboretum along the Blue Ridge Parkway. They had a few great hiking trails, some greenhouses, and beautiful gardens. We had a great time walking around, and we especially liked visiting the bonsai garden. On Saturday, we took the day to visit the Biltmore house. It was incredible! We toured the house in the morning and visited the vineyards and restaurants in the afternoon. Elle did great too, and we think she is going to love the outdoors when she is older. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better weekend. The weather was perfect and it was so much fun spending a weekend away from home as a family of three! We are looking forward to doing it again very soon!
