Elle came down with her first cold a little over a week ago. We knew this day would come since she has now started daycare, but it was heartbreaking nonetheless. Thankfully, I had Friday off and 3 snow days last week, so she was able to stay home with me. With a little help from the humidifier, lots of kleenex, tons hugs and cuddle time, and quick visit to the doctor, we are proud to say she survived! She happily shared it with her mommy and daddy too, so hopefully in the next day or so the bug will be out of our house for good.
Last week we had some serious weather down in North Carolina, so school was out for 3 days due to the crazy road conditions. Therefore Elle and I got some good quality time in together. It was a blast to be able to spend one on one time with her again. We got a lot of things done! We cleaned her room up, did much needed laundry, and even got out one afternoon to have lunch with a friend! Taking her back on Thursday wasn't that easy on either of us, but it was good to get back to our normal routine. Having that time off with her makes me very excited for the summer!
